I picked up an edelbrock performer intake with a 3 or 4 inch rise up at a flea market today and I am thinking of replacing my stock intake on the 307 V8 if will work without any issues closing the dog house lid. Does anyone know if it will fit in the 2nd gen doghouse without any problems?

Will an after market intake with a 3 or 4 inch rise fit in 2nd dog house on a V8 w/t any problems?

My '66 had a Weiand Team G hi-rise intake with a 750 Holley. I used a recessed lower air filter base and it fit fine.

Thanks for the info Roman. I have a edelbrock 1407 carburetor that I am going to be using. I guess it's about the same height as a holly carburetor.
