The fun meter is not reading very high,,,,after about 6 hours of driving, the motorhome looses power on the hills,,,,so I am not running the A/C,,,,,I just passed the Arch, and it is HOT and HUMID,,,,I don't feel like working on the motorhome, so I will let it cool off and keep driving until it stops and I have to work on it,,,the filters are new,,,maybe the fuel pump or HEI is giving up when it is hot,,,,but I got spares,,,,so lets see if I can get back without having to break out my tools,,,,,anybody see any Tornados coming my way????/

,,,,well I am kind of partial to the color red,,,,,,but back to the trip,,,,,the motorhome seems to vapor lock around 5 pm when going up hills, so I bungeed a 12 volt fan onto the sway bar and pointed it at the fuel pump and lines,,,still acts up,,,,I moved the fan up to the top and aimed it at the carb and distributor this morning and I made it here to Oklahoma City OK,,,,the starter won't crank after a long run until I put another fan under it for a few minutes,,,,but it worked good today,,,,I am headed for Texas tonight,,,,

If it would die, I would have fix it,,,,but it has, up to now, just aggravated me at 5 pm,,,,,before and after 5, it's OK,,,,,hopefully only 2 more days of this adventure,,,,I sure won't miss this heat and humidity and the NON STOP winds,,,,

I had a phone line that would do that, cut out in the evenings... when they came to fix it, it was working

I normally have to crawl up the 10 mile long Montezuma Grade in 2nd gear to get out of the Desert and into the mountains,,,,,so our meeting will be somewhere between Borrego Springs and Warner Springs, depending on how my motorhome feels at the time.......

OK, BvrWally,,,you can have your fuel pump back, I bought this one in Ohio, in 1996, and installed it in some corn field,,,,and I am in Flagstaff, 7500 feet elevation,,,need to head south from I-40 to I-10 now,,,,
