Looked but could not find whether a 396 big blOck would fit in a 68 GMC handivan that has a 307 Small block as the stock motor? Just wondering cause I found a donor for cheap and low miles... Thank you for any info and advice....

Re: 396 motor swap?
There is a vanner on VCVC that is in the process of a more traditional swap. Sounds like it will work with a 2nd gen OK with only a few things to look out for.

Putting a bigblock into an early GM van isn't that hard.
Denny Smith Jr. is working on putting a dual-quad 454 in his no door 1st gen. Chevy van.
There are a couple other earlies running around with bigblocks in them. Good luck with your project. Brad
