Can I put tail light bezels on this thing if it doesnt have em now? I was under the impression that I could and now the guy I was going to buy em from is saying he doesnt think I can just mount em. I was just thinking I can change the tail light housing out for the bezels... No?

I've seen it done so that would be a "yes you can". I would imagine they're held in place by the same screws.

Get a pair of these from Gotavan. They go on over the lense instead of under like the ones for a pickup. Bolt right up with exsisting screws. Made of cast aluminum and will polish up nice.

[b][i]Yes wideload is right. That link is for the truck bezel not for the vans. I have heard others modding the truck bezel to work. Not sure what has to be done to make it work.

Here a set of gotavans cast bezels on ebay right now. I have a set of these I'm polishing right now.

I am getting the ones for the pickups with a set of brand new (with bowtie) lenses for like 35 bux. I will see if I can make em work. If not at least I have new lenses which I need as well and I can pick up the other bezels later. I like the ones that go over the lenses they look nice.

Oh...those look nice. I wasn't sure of the difference. Did the 1st gens come with the bright bezels as an option?

Yes, got mine from castman and they look great. Had to get some longer screws for them. Really glad I got them, they bring the rearend of the van to life....

I tried to use the Pick-up style once.
I don't know if it was excess paint in the wells, or just not fitting, but that style would not fit into the light well where the bulb and socket were.
It was close, but not a fit.
I suppose it could have been modified, I just didn't want to take a chance of mucking up the pretties, since the stamped OEMs seemed very delicate.

pickup bezel is way differant from the van. About a 1" deeper. On the pickup the lens fits in the bezel and on the van the bezel fits over the lens. You would think that would be the same, but instead they are very differant.

The scoop; 66 trucks are flat vans are curved so by the time you cut up that Chinese tin it looks crappy. Castman's are a nice fit, I think he is wanting to have the bezel go over the lens and I cant live with that. so I reemed it down so the lens fits inside the bezel.much better....FYI they are cast,,the fit flush but be ready foe hours of sanding and polishing to get them to have a shine.. I D_A ed mine 220-320- wet 400 and polished..lot o work.

I saw WideLoads the other day.As I walked by them on his van,I did a 'stop & Whoa! '. Gotavan did a great job on the fit-up on these.WideLoads was as-is from Gotavan.I don't know the mixture on his pours (grade), Even not polished out, they looked great.I just know when the time comes,I'll have a set on mine.

They do take a bit of sanding (working on mine now) Even with the extra work I'm thankful someone like gotavan who makes this hard to find part. Very few vans really came with them. Another nice thing about gotavans repops is that they are stonger and won't dent easy like the stock ones.
