I registered it as an automobile when I bought it and got regular passenger plates instead of commercial plates.

When I sold my '64 Cadi, I retained the plates and had them reassigned to my van. I used the original license plate frame a local Cadillac dealership (Rector in Burlingame, it's a Mercedes dealership now) from my Cadi and had the plates repainted.

Looks fresh! Now I can show it off!

My van won't look like that for long! It's going under the knife in the next couple days and it's not allowed to be seen in public until the ENTIRE build is on the ground again...

    Roman,
Looks like you have a very solid base to stat with. Those Weld-Draglites look great! I have the same set on my 66 panel. Keep the pic's coming!

I can't believe how much the paint looks like my 65. Must be a Cali. thing, mine came from San Francisco.

That's a 40 minute BART trip for me to SF. I was so jealous of your van when I saw the thread when you bought it. That van is super rad!

My patina is a bit more severe. If you look close the driver side door doesn't match. The guy I bought it from found a close replacement.

Dix, my plans are to modify the b'jeezus out of it to make it as light and fast as possible (for a street van)...and cool...and loud...and unique...and vintage.

The fuel tank looks either custom or universal. I had to drop it and customize it a bit. I couldn't get more than a squirt of gas before the pump clicked off. Now it's tip topped off!

Debbie thinks maybe you are missing the 66 that we bought from you. Are you keeping the wheels?

Hell yeah I miss my '66! I talk about that van everyday. It's the only thing EVER that made me cry when it left...including the past 37 loves of my life!

    I'm not keeping these wheels.
