Texas John's 1963 Mantique Van
12-8-11....1963 170ci, tree spd, 19,000 original miles. Bought this for my 8th Day Cycles Mantique Warehouse. Not sure if those really are the original miles but the story goes it was a dog catchers van in a small town and never used then sold to a printer here in town and wasnt used much. sold to a local family for there teenage daughter to be her first vehicle. This was two yrs ago. I have been trying to get it for two yrs, the daughter couldnt drive it so its mine now. Got dark on me today so more pics coming. Drove it home and had to shorten a heater hose do to a dryrot split. drove it for a few hours today and everything works except the heater.......more to come. And NO!!!!!!! you cant have it. (Well, Money talks...heheheh)

Thats one mighty fine looking van!! A rare find indeed! Kinda funny what some people might think a teenage girl might want to drive, Ive had two so I have an idea.

They must have wanted grand kids real bad... My daughter will be getting a 1 seater, no passengers and no dating till she moves out... Lol
That was a great find! Looks super clean!

It's subject to a lot of fluids dripping or spraying on it from above, dings from below... I would try to make it bulletproof. My two cents.
