Econo truck seat brackets
Can some one post a pic of the stock seat brackets for me? My seats aren't bolted in as well as I would like and I am wondering if the seats may be from something else.

Nobody has a pic of the stock brackets? How about a pic of your setup for other than stock seats?

Re: Econo truck seat brackets
we normally use the stock legs and mounting brackets. The bracket mounts on the wheel well and the leg is bolted to the floor next to the Dog house. I have Fiero seats and will be using the stock mounts from my Econo.

Re: Econo truck seat brackets
I don't have the brackets that bolt to the wheel housing, just the legs that go to the floor.

Re: Econo truck seat brackets
My wheel well brackets don't look like that and the other brackets are only held on with worm screw clamps lol

Re: Econo truck seat brackets
LOL...that can't be good. This blue seat is out of my 67, and it bolts right into my 66 without any bending of any brackets. Can you take a pic of what yours looks like..I am curious to see this..if not that's ok. And I am not sure if the seat brackets are the same for all years, I think they are, but not 100%. What year is yours?

Re: Econo truck seat brackets
There are two different seat brackets for Econolines. One fits 61-64, the other fits 65-67. The 65-67 seat sits lower due to the steering column angle being lower.

Re: Econo truck seat brackets
Actually Carl there's more than that. Fred probably knows all the differences but I dont. I do know some of the inner brackets like the ones Mike posted have both ends curving inward and others have the rear part curving backwards. Theres actually several versions of the hump brackets also. I had 3 different versions in my hand today as a matter fo fact. I cant keep it all straight. I usually just grab some brackets and match em up to the holes in the floor of my parts trucks. All but one 66 van has the seats already removed. I sold a lot of seats and brackets this past year. I dont believe I have any of the pre 65 versions left currently.EconoCarl wrote:There are two different seat brackets for Econolines. One fits 61-64, the other fits 65-67. Re: Econo truck seat brackets
I've had close to 30 of these things including drivers and parts trucks and I still dont have it down pat. If I had taken notes along the way that woulda helped but that's just not me.

Re: Econo truck seat brackets
yeah those seats are sitting up pretty high. I would be hitting my knees on the steering wheel.
