Emblem Font Identification Empty Emblem Font Identification

Post by Roman Sun Aug 21, 2011 6:06 pm

Does anyone happen to know the name of the font on the early Corvette valve covers and the rear Chevrolet emblem on our vans? They're close, but not identical. I also would like to know the font of the early Corvair Spyder emblem.

If anything, maybe a suggestion on where I could go to find it. My internet surfing has been fruitless.

Thanks for stopping by to read this.

I was actually on that site checking out those very fonts. For some reason they didn't seem to have the same look. Maybe I'm being too critical.

    Thank you for replying.

nothing wrong with looking for perfection...

I agree, it was not exact, but Dymaxion had the capital E just like the vette logo, the others do not. I'll keep looking my van has it cut out of vinal so I'm sure there a name for it.

I didn't realize that was a wrap! That's pretty awesome looking. Any issues with the edges? Does the weather get hot during the summer, and if so does that affect its longevity?

No issues yet, Around the door handles, where they had to cut the vinyl to get around it, I would suspect that will be where it starts. But still good so far. Today I'm picking up a product Called Black Beauty II, to bring the Matte Blue back to more like the first picture.
