Just got my 667 8 door home that I bought last month. 318, auto and power steering! Has a perfect uncut no radio dash. No rust to speak off and really straight body. I'm going to do a ground up on this one. I can't upload any pictures! HELP

I've already got a name for it "The Mouse House" or "The Hantavirus Special" it sat out in the country and has mouse droppings everywhere. Gonna take a lot of Lysol. Don

    Cool van!

Be careful with the mouse scat. Smooth rice shaped pellets are ok, but round rough pellets are from field mice, potentially carriying Hanta virus. Mist everything with water and bleach to keep dust from rising. Don't vacuum before you treat it. My sister-in-law died from Hanta virus (farm building in Northern Alberta).

I pressure washed it wearing a mask and gloves. Doesn't smell too bad with a good airing out. I'm going to take everything apart and paint it all inside and out so should get rid of all the smell.

Got the engine running today and drove it around the airport. Engine runs nice and the tranny works great. Had to hotwire it as the wiring harness is pretty bad. Don

I'm in the process of stripping everything down and the more I dig the better this van looks. It has never been in an accident and all the panels are pretty straight. Got all of the mouse crap out except for behind the fresh air plenum. Anyone ever take one of those out? Looks to be a tough job. Next up is pulling the engine and tranny and strip all the wiring out of it.

Welded in at the factory - you take that out and there is a bunch of welding etc to put it back. I considered doing the same for approximately 3 minutes Rolling Eyes It looks to be the one part of these vehicles that is most likely never removed in a restoration project.

Might be better to hose it out from the inside out, pour a bunch of lysol in there to kill any bacteria that may be alive and then rinse it out really well again and hope for the best.

I've got it pretty clean. When I pull the engine and get all the wiring out I'll get back in there with the Hotsey.

When my brother and I do his A100, I guess we will be cutting out the back to remove the letters for repainting. Still have to find a pristine Fargo "R" for the nose.

You should be able to do the letters without cutting out the panel ....the Dodge's are easy - just have to stick your hand up and under the front panel. Use the special emblem clips to retain the new letters. I have some spare clips if you need them - brand new - bags of 25 Very Happy
