    anybody here have a clear picture of how the hood prop rod is attached to the hood?
    have one that doesn`t have anything there.

    I will get some pics of it tonight for you. I was just getting pics of the redone engine and did not get one of the hood prop.

    2 different ones.
    Early goes in the middle, long attaches to lid
    Later goes on side, shorter

    So are you talking about the length of the bolt? It is what was there when I got the truck. I am in the works of getting the doghouse cover out to do prep and paint and plan on changing that, straightening the support brackets and putting all new insulation back into it. Will post pics as I do it, as I am working on redoing the battery box right now.

    thanks, the one my friend has does not have the bracket
    on the lid anymore. will have to make one.
