    Sorry to say that I didn't take pics but it is in and I have good heat now....
    here is the core I used.... and not a bad price...

    I had to drill 1 new hole for one of the pipes and I drilled out the old temp. ring and installed this....

    this will control the temp valve I install in the spring... I would have bought it at Advance also but it is cheaper on Ebay for the same valve... lol here is what I am looking at using....

    I think the valve will work...

    Hope this helps out anyone else out there having heater core problems....

    Thanks for all the part #s.. Mine is still ok in my 61 but you never know ...curious was yours leaking or plugged up? Mine doesnt blow very hot air?

    My valve was good but the core was split.... took it to a repair shop and every time they heated it up to repair.... it opened up in another place.... This is going to work out great..... when I first took mine apart, I found 2 combs, some receipts, and 2 old match books inside.... this was plugging off some of the air in mine.... no hot air could be the wrong thermostat in it?????
