    Just got off of 4 or 5 sites and all I found was either 230 or 250 and I'm still not sure . I'm way more into getting stuff (harley's/boats/car's) to look great than run great but I think if I keep it simple I'll get there. i've worked on car's back when I was younger and then got spoiled doing upholstery and airbrush/custom paint . but I'm not going to do that till it runs right. thanks for the help this site is only as good as the people on it and you've been great.

    gk....what is your question? are you asking if your motor is a 230 or 250 ? A 230 and 250 are the same block. what changes is the crack shaft a 250 is a stroked 230...the link posted is a list of gm block casting codes....the 230 and 250 start on page 55 or 56.
