Anyone know about this pick-up on Long Island?

Howdy all,

A couple of years ago (August '08), I saw this Econoline pick-up out the front of a car yard in Patchogue, Long Island. I hear that is still there - only out the back.

Anyone know anything about it?

Long Island is a big place, patchogue also pretty big. Why don't you give the phone number a shot? Can't hurt.. If you find it and are interested in it I can check it out for you. I'm about 15 miles west of there.

I can get the exact location pretty easy, as a friend lives nearby.

But I don't really want it, I was just interested in what was happening with it as it "seems" it hasn't been used for some years.

Well if you don't want it , I will try and search it down. I would be interested in it, but would never "steal" your find. I am going to check on it, I will let you know how I make out.

Excellent - nothing would be better than that pick-up going to a good home.

Went to check it out today. It is still there in a lot behind a 6ft fence.
The place is out of business. I called the number on the building and spoke with the owner, he does not want to sell it..
It looks like it has been sitting a long time, rust setting in pretty bad..
What a waste..
I kept his number and will bother him some more in the near future, you never know..

Disapointing result (at this stage). Common story that someone wants to hang on to their treasure, for some future fantasy - until it's just about stuffed or dead.

Good luck Donn , I do know of someone who has been after that one for a while now. Sounds like you got the same wall that the other guy got. Wait til I tell him the word is out
I am in a similiar situation with another guy a few towns over. Has 2 possibly 3 early fords rotting away in his back yard. He won't budge but I will keep at him. I will either get them or shot for harassment.

Did you check out the chopped pickup on sunrise hwy ? Too many mods for me but maybe something you might like. $2300 but seems real eager to sell.

Next time your in my neck of the woods give me a shout.

If so I stopped on the way home from Patchoque and it was gone.
If not where is this one?
I am trying to see one listed on craigslist but the guy is a bit of a D***
so not sure if I will get to see it.
