Howdy all,
After three months wait to get my van from LA to Western Australia, and after four months of work converting the death trap to a reliable driver....my van was unconditionally licensed today.
And weren't the authorites pedantic & difficult (bastards).
It has now been assigned to one of my electronic technicians (I have a low voltage services business) where it is now earning its keep as a work vehicle. It will now be subject to an ongoing cosmetic restoration and further refinement.
While the rest of the fleet is current model Toyota Hiace turbo-diesels - this is an attempt to create a distinctive edge to our current commercial profile - utilising my hobby. If successful I'll add a dodge A100 to go with the Econoline and my rampside.
I've copped a few "rolled eyes" - so I hope it all works out OK
Regards from Australia
Rhys
