i think i have found my dodge van

i took a wrong turn and out of the corner of my eye i spotted an early dodge van.
managed to find the house where it has been sitting for the last 20+ years, (last tagged in 81). talked to the owner of the house and it comes out that the van belongs to his son. its a camper van, looks dirty and its currently used as a storage. from what i saw its missing the tail light lenses, and the rear door lock....
i dont know the year but its an early for sure, what are the things that can lead me to finding the correct year before they find the title??? its got a /6 and automatic trans and has back up lights....
will get some numbers and pictures soon.. maybe tomorrow
i still need to talk to the owner of the van. work out a deal and tow it to my parents house haha ha

If the switches are on the dash and the inside door pulls are the square kind = ditto

Is it camper with the factory roof or a high-top/pop-top?

and where can i get one of those fast and cheap.. the brake lenses...

Don't know the lens size, but it's a standard 7" seal beam headlight

G-Man's right on the 7" sealed beam.

The red tail light lenses are 5 1/8" diameter with 3 holes. I got mine from a trailer dealer and some from Dodgevanman.com. Ebay usually has them too. I think I paid around $10/set.

Awesome! Congrats! Don't be jealous... found and bought my fair share of basket case rust buckets! Besides, I won't be able to keep them all! Maybe I'll have to fix one up, drive down to Chicago for a van run, sell it and fly home... then repeat with another van in another year. Hmmm... road trip to wherever the buyer is... could be a cool way to see the country! Just haven't found anymore A100s up here!

well, got a call from the owner, he found the title.
it is a ' 65 dodge van. and he said it has a v8 engine.

its got a pop-up roof, but im wondering how damaged that is going to be...
well i need to get my hands on it first.. maybe this week

65 OE would be 273. Of course, over the years it could be anything. My 66 has a 360!
For the price, you can part it, or get it running and driving and enjoy or sell and have it live some more. Good to get it out of the slumber!

There's a guy near me that has a Hightop that he minted out. Never thought much of the campers until I saw that one. Got more respect for them when I contemplated going to van shows that are out of state.

If you part it out you'll make your money back pretty easy.

hey lovely looking camper , you got lucky( 200$ its givin!!), about that tire hanger, i 'm looking for one, do you see any brand on it, or if you want to sell that part? let me know..about those rear lense, i got them for 4.99 at a retail store( canadian tire store), they are trailer lenses, i bought two packs( never know when they discontinued a product)... keep the pictures coming!
