Bill I read your post (I think on VCVC) about doing the front disc. What kind of master cyl are you going with?

Mike they are doing the research as we speak ,there are some reall cool after market ones they are checking on I should know more tommorow . I wanted to do the dual master conversion but the front brakes need rebuilt and they are working up a price to do disks because I am thinking rather than do that now it would be a waste if I will be doing disk brakes soon. I don't know about those brackets,,,,,,they are not offset to fit on the front side of the spindle,,,,,,I guess they could cut the bottom holes off so they can mount it on the backside without moving the steering knuckle,,,,,,but then that weakens the bracket,,,,,,I guess we will see if those 90 degree brackets will work,,,,,,,the Novas are set at 45 degrees,,,,,,,

Stopped by the shop today and the disk brake install is on the schedule 2 days from now ,getting excited about getting the van back!! One of the members on vcvc called cpp and it looks like they now have a kit available for our vans! Here is what he posted. Bill

Front brake kit from CPP!!!! I called CPP Tech line and the guy I spoke with put me on hold and went and spoke with the engineer that made this "front disk brake" kit. He told me that he went to the junk yard, found a first gen, took the front spindle back to the shop and now has the capability of mass producing this kit for $499.00. It uses a 1969-72 Chevelle rotor,(GM A body) and a 1982-94 S10 caliper. If you would like to purchase this kit. Call Mario directly at CPP; 800-522-5004 ext 126. It is a new kit and not everyone knows about it at CPP, so call Mario. The pic below of the 4 bolt zinc plated bracket that looks like it will fit our vans....... is what was produced.

It's getting closer seems things are fitting nicely no shock clearance issues ,they sent the steering arm out to be shaved just a little things were a little close but not touching the springs just to be safe. DISK BRAKES SOON!

Bill its looking good ! Is the caliper going to hit the shock? I just did a similar install on my 66 and had to relocate the shock to the top side of the axle to allow the caliper to clear and installed the steering stops on the front side
