    Just picked these two up..12-2-09.... wanna buy on......havnt got them home yet.....now im broke, send food and money... not sure what ihave yet

    so what the story on the 4spd column shift...how rare, what are they worth, was it a good or bad tranny. Never seen on now i have two......

    1st gear is a granny gear for pulling stumps,,,,,the other 3 are same as a 3 speed,,,,,,,

    John , you are absolutely the very first person I've ever encountered with the 4 spd columm shift !!!!!!!! I thought they were a misprint in the owners manual . Hell G M has been know to lie to me before but sir , you sure as heck confermed it . That thing must be akin to a Mercedes piece that they manufactured back around 1960 on the Diesel cars . I saw one apart , I'm galad I was only the gofer on that job , whew.......... !
    Seriously , I have never seen or talked to anyone having the four speed transmission . I've talked to a couple of Custom buildes over the years that installed the Hurst Van shifters that were avalible back in 1975 for the newer vans , ie Fords 69- up. Heck thats wayyyy better than a No door Chevrolet . That really is a rareity !!!!! Scrubba
