    I printed a response to one of these qs when I ment to ask about engine removal to everyone. I have the 1st gen chev with the doghouse and I was wondering how to remove the engine any tips?

    I used a cherry picker and went through the side cargo doors on my '67...

    You can pull it out through the pass side cargo doors or pass front door with no problems. I have heard of folks dropping it out the bottom but that seems to be a real hassle if you ask me. Welcome and we all love to see pictures of projects. Feel free to search the forums for you questions and ask if you can't find it, most every topic has been addressed at one time or another.

    Thanks for the response and the cool pic - I tried to post pictures but it asked for a url so I just put down the link. How did you post it on the forum? N E Wayz I will try again and the van should be rollin after the first week in sept - new 230 rebuild - and carpet then im thinkin capitans style mahogany twin bed frame with droors and speakers - Drive in movie back seat for two and corner table - I m painting it rust colored for now with white grill but in the end it will be a brighter warmer color! whoo hoo!
