New Pedal install Empty New Pedal install

Post by kltcustoms Tue Aug 11, 2009 2:26 pm

Ok I got these parts off of Ebay and decided to make them work. When I bought my 8 door A100 it was missing some pieces and/or just kinda cobbled together. The gas pedal was a old door hinge so I decided to replace it...and drag my unwilling 14 year old to help me out. He is not much of a car kid ( I know I know..I am ashamed too Sad .

He and I drilled the holes and cut the hole for the new arm thru the floor. I made a gasket out of a old rubber tube to keep the water from getting into the cab. My son took the pictures after....We have a list of what the van needs and he was able to cross one more off the list. We also did the new trans pan gasket as well.

    Looks like a clean install.

I like the way it looks. Have the stock one still in mine and it's starting to get a bit sloppy.

Chris, Mine is pretty worn out and been repaired once. I'm keeping this in mind just in case or when I get ready to drop the 327 & 200r in...

That pedal looks kinda small, I was looking at the repoped pedals for 1960-66 chevy trucks from LMC, they resemble the stock ones in our A's, the way they bolt to the floor ect...

They are not huge but they are not small...See I had to find a replacement, I didn't like were the stock one was located...I wear size 18 shoe and I need the foot room Smile so I just moved it over to the middle of the first body rib/crease in the floor. For me its perfect but my non-working E-brake is in my way so I gotta find a different place for that as well....Man can 'oh worms these things can be...! Thinking of just looseing the E-brake all together!
