Your welcome here in my book. What type of parts are you looking for? Where in CA. are you?
I'm building a `72 G20 with my Son for him and we just bought a `79 G20 for parts.
Also building a `69 G10 for myself.

Welcome !!! You're van is not a early, but you are more than welcome here. Post us some pictures in the early enough section. Third gen Chevy's have always been cool vans.

What part of San Diego are you in?
And do you need the battery box or just a hold down?
I have a 78 G30 and it just uses a rubber wedge type clamp to hold the battery down with 1 bolt at the bottom. There are plenty of your 3rd Generations at the Pick a Parts along the border,,,,we were just shopping for parts there Saturday getting some parts off the Chevy Vans,,,,,,

G30 Van parts
I need the whole bottom to the bracket. I have been down to the junk yards along the border and they don't seem to have anything in the early 70S. I will try again...

Don- We're in need of one for a `72 also, they mount inside the right side fender behind the grille. At least that's where our non a/c Van one goes.
Thanks!
Thanks!

The one in the picture is from a 78 G30,,,,now a G10 or 20 or earlier one is probably different,,,,,,BUT,,,,,there is a 1/2 price sale at Pick a Part next weekend and I am going,,,,,,so I will be looking for a battery box that mounts on the passenger side,,,,,

Re: 1972 Chevy Van Parts G30
I inherited mine in it's current condition.
I have a good one for your motorhome that's in the `79 parts van we brought back from AZ. Mounts on the drivers side behind the grille. The early 3rd gens mount on the right side and are really hard to find.

battery bracket G30 Van
the bracket looks like I can make it work. The base looks the same and with a little sandblasting, two part paint, it is as good as new. Wow....i never imagined this website would help. You guys are great, thanks.
