Lost for 10 years....

Ten years ago, a 13 page build thread abruptly ended when it was learned the owner/builder, Fu Manchu, had passed away......
Folks began to wonder what had happened to the van
Well, somebody took a picture of a "cool van" sitting in a field in Gilbert Az and posted it to the Vintage-Vans facebook page last month.....

I would absolutely love to have the opportunity to acquire and restore this van to mechanical viability and put some better looking mirrors on it, clean it up a bit and drive it as a tribute to the original builder....

Thanks for the link to the old site. Sounds like Mike was a great fabricator and an icon that came to an abrupt end. Maybe you'll get connected to the current owner, some how.
