I would like to replace yet Rochester Monojet single barrel in my 66 with a new one. Can anyone tell me where to source a new one that I can simply plug in with little or no modifications? I think a rebuild will cost as much a new one...Lookin to push the easy button.

Ok, first it comes with the thick heat sink base gasket to help prevent boil
over, so you might have to install longer studs or use a thin gasket, I put it on, gas line and pedal linkage fit right on,,,,,cranked engine,,,,,,GAS EVERYWHERE!,,,,,,took off top of carb and found metering rod unhooked and stuck in main jet as well as pinned against float holding it down so gas just came flowing in, snapped metering rod back in place, making sure spring locks it in place, float was set really low, that would surely make it run lean,,,,bent it up, put top back on, runs pretty good so far,,,,now,,,,,electric choke,,,,,you need to splice into ignition circuit for it to work and I will put a 5 amp fuse in that line to be safe,,,,,,the air cleaner stud bracket is metric, so tap it out or use old bracket........so thats my story,,,,,,,it will be awhile until I try it on the road.
