Sadly time to sell my van. Family is about to get another member and I just found a 56 rambler station wagon and just don’t have the room for both. Here’s the run down
66 gmc handivan
Body - good shape, a little rust on drivers front wheel well and a little body work on passenger rear wheel well. Nothing crazy enough for me to have given it any thought in the 10+ yrs I’ve owned it
Engine - 5.3l vortec (ls) engine. Fuel injected. Stock. Mileage unknown but starts right up every time. Stays nice and cool. Barely ever sees fans when cruising (fan set to 210).
Trans - built th350. 2800 converter.
Rear - 12 bolt 3.73:1 spool
You could keep this thing a reliable cruiser or go all out with cam/heads/power added/whatever. Unfortunately it has one seat but I have another that comes with it. Interior is done very subtle and could easily be redone to your liking.
