Wow I can't believe that I spent most of the day yesterday and today in the garage working on the van. It must have been well over 100 degrees both days in the garage and today it was rather humid also. I was dripping sweat all over the van floor as I was working on it.

I am making baby steps... My goal is to get the van finished before I die, somedays I think the van is winning.

I was able to get the bed frame assembled over the weekend. I will be putting on the wood and foam on the bed hopefully in the next couple of weekends.

I also painted the rims, put on the shinny stuff with new rubber all around, a couple of weeks back. The rear rims (pictured) I had Stockton Wheel widen to 8 inches so I could go a little wider on the tires.

Mocking up the front board of the bed. Was thinking of going with tiki gods on either side of the speakers but then thought it needed some color to break up the wood. Had a picture in the house that may work but the size is a little too big and they don't make a smaller version. May go with a third option but I don't know what that is yet. Always fun trying to figure this stuff out. LOL

The wood on the floor in the second picture is for the top of the bed. I am having a foam piece cut for the mattress but it will be about three weeks before it's ready. Really ? They say they are backed up with work, how long does it take to take a piece of foam and cut it to a smaller piece, 10 minutes maybe?

Seems like everything lately that I need is either out of stock or is taking forever to ship or is getting lost or delayed by FedEx, USPS or Amazon. Getting frustrating Chipping away at it (my A108) 1f621

OK.. I think I'm going with a tropical drink... Can't go wrong with any drink that has an umbrella in it... Right?

No I'm basically doing 90 percent of my wiring myself from scratch, not really happy with the wiring kit. I feel that my work is better than theirs.

    Who did you go with?

Painless, but it took two kits to run it the full length like he factory did. I did it myself, but it was worth the effort. Your van is looking good my friend.

Thanks... It's taking way too much time to do, but someday it will be roadworthy.

I received the foam back from getting it upholstered today, threw a couple of cheap blankets that I had picked up to add some color to it. The other sides tropical drink art work is still out of stock until the end of October, so they tell me (I hope it is available then). Just wanted to see how it will look eventually.

Next I'm going to put some drawers under the bed for storage. At the moment I'm thinking drawers but it's subject to change as I'm making this stuff up as I go.

It's not bad, it's on the firm side but will probably soften up with use.

I could defiantly take a nap on it. Problem is now if I tick off the wife she can now tell me to go sleep in the van... LOL
