Sadly my funky ‘64 was at a shop having work done when our area of southern Oregon got hit with a disastrous fire a few weeks ago. Many people lost everything so I know it could be much worse, but my A100 was completely destroyed. I was excited to get it back with the steering box replaced , the transmission off cables, and a few other fixes, but it wasn’t meant to be. RIP to my A100 :( 3dbd4010

Were you covered insurance wise? So sad...if covered, maybe you could find a new project to take on? This year has been a real drag with all that's been happening...Hopefully, 2021 will get us back to an even keel...

Thankfully I did have insurance. I'm waiting to hear back on the valuation, but I think I found my next van. It's a '69 Econoline with a 302, super straight body, no rust. Gonna need some work but I think it's got a ton of potential.

Sadly though I just realized that this forum is only for the first-generation vans!

sad to see the dodge up in smoke, just a heads up the 69 econo had a issue at the frame and the steering box,, if no work was done there you might want to visit that area to support the frame

That is so sad. I would be tempted to drop that body on a new frame with running gear and drive it again. It was a sweet Van.

the problem with a fire that hot will warp the steel , and there is a problem with paint adhering the steel once it went thru a fire,
i am aware of todays acid etching primers
hope you can keep the side doors from the chrusher
