    I would like to identify what were the original fasteners for the 1st Gen belly pan. Can anyone say if the photo shows a good example of what GM originally installed?:
    3/8-16 x 1" & 1/4-20 x 1" ??? I suspect the ones shown maybe too long...

    Those look like self tapping bolts. You can just replace them with the appropriate regular bolts b/c the hole is now tapped.

    Those look like the correct bolts... They aren't really self-tapping, they were made like that so they would find the hole's threads easily (quickly) and those washers cover the oversize holes in the sheetmetal and have locking characteristics....
