I have not been able to do it without removing the vent window.

I have not gotten into it yet. What makes it so hard to do, and requires pulling the vent window ?

I find it too tight to accomplish the belt line fuzzies without at least removing the window. I took everything out and did the vent window rubbers at the same time.

Removing the vent window assy is not that hard - except finding the screw inbetween the old rubber. Other than that - rather easy.
(unfortunatly, I skipped replacing the vent rubber; should have done that at the same time...)
