This is an original 90" wheel base van; numbers matching 271 CID V8 with three on the tree. It is very rare to find a factory V8 in this model much less having the original engine. Virtually all of them have been updated to 318, 340 or a 360.
• New high performance aluminum radiator. [$700] I have the original radiator which needs to be re-cored. That in itself has high value because original, re-cored and after market all prove impossible to find.
• Original carburetor, rebuilt. It always starts and runs well.
• The entire fuel system from the filler tube to the carburetor is new/rebuilt.
• New 15X8 Coker rims mounted with new tires. [About $1,000] New baby moon hubcaps. I put together a small, donut style, spare tire; saves space.
• Only minor body dents. Metal around the windows, doors and the entire gutter system are rust-free. Body has some rust below the body line.
• N.O.S. door locks and keys. Ignition and doors keyed alike.
• One year old battery.
• New brakes including hardware.
• All glass is good, showing normal flaws; rubber is dried out.
• All the lights, the windshield wipers and heater work. New wiper blades.
• I have a new glove box insert, uninstalled.
• I also bought some wood flooring I was going to install. You can have that as well. Remind me when you pick up the van.
THE ORIGINAL BELLY PAN IS ON THE VAN!! This is an important point because the vans of the 1960s, regardless of make, are known for overheating. What people do not know is that with all the factory original parts properly installed, overheating is not a problem. With the high performance radiator and the belly pan properly in place there is no chance for overheating of this engine. Oh, and the engine has never been overheated. If it had been the cooling system would smell of that overheating. Instead it smells very fresh like it is supposed to.
