Anyone have any experience with Scott's Hotrods ifs? They make a cab over suspension with a rack that points in the right direction.

Researching the same subject. I just got a quote on one. Pricy, but it seems like top-notch stuff. Communication has been good.
Here's what the set-up consists of:
Scotts standard ifs weld in
New Power rack
Custom rack mounting brackets
Tubular upper and lower a-arms
Machined rod ends
Forged steel spindles
11 inch rotor 5 on 4 1/2
Wilwood 4 piston calipers
Aldan coil-overs
Sway-bar
Grade 8 hardware
100% tig welded
Braided lines with -3 fittings qty 1 pair

Re: Scott's Hotrods IFS
Definitely looks like top notch hardware. Beyond the price, I'm trying to figure out how to weld the new suspension in. The Econo frame rails are fairly thin material.

Re: Scott's Hotrods IFS
I got mine from Full Tilt IFS. Delivery was quick and when I called for help, they were immediately availble and helped fully.

Do you have pictures of your install or any details on what's involve in installing their IFS. Love to have more info. Full Tilt doesn't list an Econoline application.

I have a total build thread going here (click here). Page 2 about 1/4 way down has the IFS install part. Really, it's just a universal IFS kit. PM me if you want more detail than what I put in my build thread.

I got an IFS kit for my A100 from Scotts Hot Rods and I agree, its basically a universal IFS kit.wirepuller wrote:I have a total build thread going here (click here). It's complete with sections of frame rail so you need to cut out a section of the existing frame and graft in the new frame section. Its almost like a sub-frame.
It is far from simple tho' and its taking awhile to get everything else to fit around the new frame section
i.e. steering column, pedal assembly, master cylinder, radiator, handbrake linkage.
So for Scotts Hot Rods to say that their kit is the only one that is made to fit forward control vans is a bit of a stretch.
Don't get me wrong, its a well made well engineered piece of kit, but a straightforward install, not so much.
I'll post some pics on here when it gets closer to completion.
