by gp70 Sun Jun 15, 2008 7:11 amThe Gratiot Cruise was held Sat June 14, 2008. Saw gmytch's A100 cruise past but couldn't catch up to it to snap any pics, and he never made a return pass to give another chance so no pics of his "A".
But just as the cruise was coming to an end, and am thinking " Wow, not a pic of an early to be had " I spot a sec. gen off in the distance. And not just a sec. gen., but one I have never seen before. Sorry for the lack of info, but I was blocking traffic as I ran out to talk to him for a minute. I asked where he was from and he told me he was from the west side of Detroit. Pretty sweet he came from the west side for the cruise. I asked him if he would come back so I could chat with him for a minute and he said no problem. BUT !!! The cruise was ending in 5 minutes and the police block Gratiot off and clear it with a rolling police blockade. As soon as I realized the cruise was over and the cruisers wouldn't be allowed back on Gratiot, I knew the chances of seeing him again were slim to none. I waited about 45 minutes and never seen him again. Never got a name or year but the marker lights say what ?? 69 or 70 ? Odd Thing, I never even checked out the van while talking to him, had to look at the few pics to even see what shape it was in.
