    Motor Mounts Empty Motor Mounts

    Post by Jay529 Sun Dec 30, 2018 7:42 pm

I'm looking for new motor mounts, but can't seem to find the right ones. I have a 65 PU 170 w/3 speed on a tubular crossmember. When I look up 65 mounts it shows one type for a manual trans, but it has two studs, mine only has one stud. I'm thinking that mount is for an earlier truck with the sheet metal engine supports. The picture of the mount for a 65 w/170 and auto trans looks similar to mine, but not exact. Anyone know a part number or any other info for the mounts I need? The reason I want to replace them in the first place is because when I took the crossmember off the rubber part came off with the crossmember. It doesn't look damaged, but I'm thinking it should be attached otherwise the engine will just be resting there. Any thoughts? Thanks.

Yes Jay, I went through that too.  Here is a link to the thread where Seth helped me out.  They worked perfectly.
