Look what I found in my old hot rod mags

For some reason I always saved my (Motor head) mags. I was going through an old box from the mid 70's and found these.
A lot of second generation as these are 76 77 and 78 issues, but also many earlies . Cool reading, even the add's. Any of you old guys like me remember the add for "make money customizing van's" Funny back then there were like five different mags dedicated to vans!
Now you can't find any, hopefully that will change soon. If there is any interest in this post I will post some more pics from the mags.

Thats funny........................I remember most of those rags.

back in the late 70's, early 80's, i managed a van shop in ffld. ct. fairfield county vans and trucks. what a blast, customizing vans all day, meeting great people, great partys. my boss from way back then, just recentely gave me a big box of all those great mags. i love reading them. did we really wear bell-bottoms??/

Killer! I used to collect the custom van trading cards.

On a side note...personally, I hope there aren't a bunch of van magazines getting ready to pop up. Anytime the masses/media latches on to anything, they ruin it. I'd rather it stay a little low key/underground.

I have some old van mags from the early 80s late 70s not many earlys in them, would love to see old early photos espically the Dodges!

I have some of those exact same issues! I saved them from when I was a kid...

I would love to see what trade secrets were in the color brochure they'd send you from that van customization ad! "You don't need any special art talent!"
