I know mine wouldn't have the springs or the power for that. Most slide-in campers I have been around are quite heavy. Another thing to consider is brakes. I'm sure those concerns could be addressed by the right person with the right motivation. JM2C. Jim
back in the late 70s, my dad took the slide in off his 69 GMC and put it on his 63 Econoline pup, drove it around the block and took it back off. It was way too top heavy. Maybe if you had the type with the pop up tent roof it wouldn't be as bad
there was a specific slide in camper shell for the a-100 pickups. pics are on the net somewhere. can't exactly remember if it was made by campwagon or some other company. now I have to go lookin......
