So I've been working on my Falcon van for a few months but still keeping my eyes open for a truck. This '69 A100 popped up on Craigslist and we made a deal. Super excited about building this. Plans are to swap out the whole running gear with parts from a Lincoln mk vii I got free from a buddy. 5.0 HO, AOD trans and the matching 8.8 rear end. I'll do the disc brake conversion up front. Will start a build thread once the van is finished

Yeah, I recently added a 5k winch from harbor freight with a wireless remote. Makes it a whole lot easier loading non running vehicles!

Looks a lot better than the one I brought home a few years back. Those things are a kick to drive, put a grin on your face all day.

No engine, but the trans is there. It's pretty solid with no real rot that I've found. The biggest issue is that at some point in its life somebody cut out both sides of the bed for propane tanks. It's got the worst hack job repair ever. I'm gonna have to fab up some new replacement panels so I'm kicking it around in my mind to come up with a plan. I see you're down in SB, I'm just over the hill in Solvang.

I have one and I'm curious as to the going prices out there...

I paid $1500 for it. Pretty happy with it considering there's only surface rust. With using a free power plant and I do all my own paint and body work I'd be surprised if there was more than $4-5k total in her when I'm done. I'll try to keep track when I start the build, you know how things always end up being twice what you think!

Re: Scored an A100 truck!
i told the last person that asked me what i wanted for mine, 3k - because i still want to make it driveable again and figure if someone wants it they are gonna pay a chunk to get it from me!!! LOL
i have a bunch of stuff too... bumpers and fan shrouds - including 2-slant 6 and 1 v8... i even have the adaptor plate to connect an automatic to the slant 6... 2 or 3 single barrel intakes... couple of exhaust manifolds - including one that i have started to turn into a split header setup...
with my body falling apart as fast as it is i am at a loss as to which way to go with my dodges...
dammit...
