Thanks everyone! 
I was born on my grandma's birthday (long gone) and on our birthday this year, we (where I live) took in a rescued dog and named her after my grandma because... well, kinda of... no one wanted to call her Myrtle so we are calling her Ella (grandma's middle name)

exactly!p.s. we found Ella's (actually her name was Tipsy) original owner and she was reunited with them yesterday, so it was a happy ending.... "Tipsy Ella" is a VERY good dog and I am happy to have been able to care for her while she was here and even happier she is back where she is loved
p.s.s. how did we get her? long story short, she was given to someone else by her original owner,,, who went on vacation,,, who had someone else take care of her,,, who she ran away from,,,, and we got a call about a dog who needed help, tied up by baling twine on the Rez,,, through FB we were able to connect with the original owner and....
