My 60 gal air compressor's motor burnt up last week. But I'm not sure of what motor to replace it with. The Tag's info is

Harbor freight sell a 3hp air compressor electric motor. Not sure if it will work. I'm not sure if I have a 3hp or 5hp or 200hp?? what is HP "SPL" ??
I bought the compressor in 1990, lasted 26 years. I don't know anything about electric motors, except when there's smoke coming from them. It's going to cost you money.

Yours is a 3HP, 220/230 volts. 3450 RPM. Check to make sure which direction your old motor runs.
A replacement will likely have a little tag showing how to reverse it if necessary.
