Cool thanks! I still have the track on the pass side and the bolt on the dog house. I guess I'm only missing the prop rod. Anyone have a pic of the prop rod it self? and maybe the measurements?. It can't be that hard to make one.

Another option would be hydraulic hood or hatch struts. They're available in different lengths & weight rating. We used the marine version on boat hatches.

Ask around, some one must have a rod off a parts van, I found an original chain for my 1st Gen lid, but the 2nd gen used the rod.

Here is a simple idea..... Have a strap with a couple of snap hooks to strap the lid to the ceiling

one of the guys in our club used an a frame ladder spreader
to hold up the lid, don't have a pic
