Independent Front Suspension, think Mustang II since it is the most popular hot rod conversion, plus is the pattern by which most aftermarket hot rod suspensions have been developed from, just to a higher level, like Heidts, Helix, Fatman Fabricators and a bunch more.
i have seen a few earlies with mustang 2 suspensions on them. they are a decent amout of work, and require a intermediate steering gear from a vw vanagon to send the steering back from up by the bumper, where the original box is, to the rack and pinion on the new crossmember. the rack also has to be rolled forward, so that the input shaft from it is now facing forward. its a pretty slick setup, if you desire ifs.
also, check out '' homebrew'' on here. he has pics of his a100 on here. the post is called '' a 100 slamming in progress'' just search his name and then his posts. it will give you a nice visual of the intermediate box that I'm talking about.
Thanks guys, I was thinking mustang 11 for just that reason, it's popular for a reason, however I had read that a camaro clip is also a worthy candidate, anyone heard of that?
