Thanks guys! I thouroughly enjoyed my day.
Wrenched on my bro's car with him, tossed back a couple cold ones.
Watched some NFL Draft, tossed back a couple cold ones.
Went to our soccer team's beer "night" at 4pm, tossed back a couple cold ones.
Went to team dinner at 7 ("A Touch of Ukraine"... YUMMY), not sure how many Crown Royal and Ginger Ale I had, lots of cabbage rolls, perogies and sausage. And then more Crown & Ginger.
A completely satisfying day! Hopefully I'll be buying a couple more early Econolines this week as a present to myself!

Hey Sasktrini, sounds like you're having more fun out West than we are here in O-town. So how many vans to you own now anyway?

Well, I'm recently separated, so I'll get more vans! I don't mean to make light of it, as it's been a challenge. But my bro is my best friend, and is letting me stay with him while I build a foundation around me.
I don't have the car anymore, so that's good. I have:
85 Chev G20 that rescued my Ford by towing it 7 hours home. I should be driving it, but it's misbehaving! So I'm buying an delbrock 1406 600CFM Carb for it... the 350 is a strong 94 Goodwrench crate motor, so this is the first step in turning it into a real mule!
64 Ford Econoline: after towing it home, 5 minutes of fiddling, and it started... it was stranded in Calgary for four months... anyway, now not at my GFs, it's in storage.
68 Fargo A100: officially signed it over to my brother. His wife is sacrificing her garden plot so we may work on the Fargo and Econoline in his back yard. I expect I'll have them here in three weeks.
The Econoline panel vans I've mentioned in another post... if it works out that both are saveable for a reasonable amount, I will likely keep the Ford (which isn't a 67 as the seller said), and my buddy in Calgary will get the 65 Merc!
Depending on the shape of the body on the new panel, I may swap the guts from the 64 if I need the parts in a good van. I know there are rustouts in the new one though, so we'll have to see!
In the end, I'll have my tow-mule Chev, an econoline window van and/or an econoline panel van. But I'll have early cruising buddies!
All of a sudden, it hit me... you flew to Arizona twice and drove back to Ottawa... These two econolines are only three hours away... I'm so ashamed! Mind you, these little trips haven't worked out for me yet...
Cheers!

Wow! Well Arizona was such a life changing, memory making experience I'd do it again in a heartbeat. 3 hours away is just as bad...you have to make the vans work or tow or whatever, it's just as much work just less time travelling which just means less fun travelling!
