yeah ill live, might have some issues with that foot from here on out, even my doctors and emt's said that a lot of the time head-ons at 55 and 65 result in fatalitys, especially in such old vehicles without colapsable collumns and crumple zones and air bags. but yeah I live to breath another day and wrench on my van

agreed! dummy came around a 2 lane mountain road in my lane and by the time I could see him from the curve I only had 100' between the both of us. chp indicated I had 41' of skid marks and after collision the truck was 120*to the direction I was traveling. he admitted to speeding at 65mph on scene and I found out later in the police report that his excuse was to get home to grandma's before she fell asleep, and he misjudged the curve. kid was driving a 95'toyota camry, even at 10 over the limit the car should be able to stay in its lane, so long story short its solely the other guys fault, and now the wonderful process of lawyers begin.. but yes in my van I probably woulda lost my legs possibly more, I mean my 4x4 front axle was under the driver floorboard so my van axle would be half way down the body. XX, just lucky to still be here, im a bit gun shy in cars now just a little off an I get jumpy, and I was the guy on the street bike at 150 on the back wheel, really opens your eyes and changes your thought pattern and prioritys

thanks yeah we all need to be careful not just be defensive drivers, sometimes its out of your control, not that I like the idea of self driving vehicles but dang this generation of kids are glued to their phone not to look up or remember numbers or have any patience for anything that's not instant gratification. fair warning to us all!!!
