Sad part is ....he probably has close to that in this van. But as we all know...if you buy a van and build it as an investment and hope to have a big pay day at the end....you're in it for the wrong reasons. Great looking van and love the interior. Hope he gets a good dollar for his efforts.

I think he'd have a shot on Barrett Jackson or some similar auction. Not likely to get near that on ebay! JMO! Beautiful Van though! I say just keep it and get his $50,000 of enjoyment out of it...

I agree its a "Gorgeous Van" and not many like it left in that shape....But I don't see anyone dropping 53k into a 38 year old Van.... He has a lot invested in it but as I am finding out you will never get your investment back on these old van's... I say 25k is tops and even that is a lot I wish him "Luck" altho its good to know someone other than myself is over pricing these van's..!!!...LOL.... ..Here is another dreamer.... http://www.cars.com/vehicledetail/detail/603325491/overview/?aff=atempest

If he decides to paint a Scooby theme on the outside and put a stuffed Scooby in the passenger seat, it might bring $50,000. I hear those Scooby vans are rare...
