Digz, if this doesn't help, maybe Tom will chime in and share, or maybe Donivan or Gotavan.

Rip

Re: auto trans column question
Digz, I know where a complete van is with an auto tranny setup in it. Its a 66 I think but for sure a flat glass early. Its a window van with stock seats, all original but not worth a restore. Has all the interior panels too. I ve been after it for a few years but the guy wont sell it cheap. WHat woud it all be worth to ya? I could maybe raise my offering price if it was worth my time and efforts. Its about 15 miles south of me and would need a flat beed ntow to get it here.

Re: auto trans column question
I dont think Id be wanting anyone to go to a lot of trouble,, sorta just collecting parts for the gray 65 van I got . All I would like is a column, and the linkage to the trans would be a bonus becasue it can be made. what this stuff is worth I haven't a clue. Thanks tho. Im not much for prices ,, its more like you tell me ,,

Re: auto trans column question
Joe, Like I said it that post I got a 2nd gen outer column on my 64. I used all the2nd gen stuff I got a different SW on mine(1st & 2nd gen TS houseing are dif size)or you could use 2nd gen SW. Also you have to switch out plug on TS switch to plug into 1st gen harness, but you get 4 way flasher too

Re: auto trans column question
Digz, I don't have the linkage or the cross, as you said, that is easy enough to make, I made the linkage for my 64.

Re: auto trans column question
Last year he turned down my offer of $400 for it which for me is high on a junker. By the time I pay for a flat bed tow I would have $500 in it and I dont even own a Chevy. I just want to cut the nose off it for a project of mine. I cant see tying up $500 just for a nose. I would have to have some stuff sold ahead of time before I bought it to offset my cost. It is complete though, has all interior fiberglass panels and both back bench seats too. I took Tom from Indy there with me once to look at it. Oh yea,had a nice horn ring too and original small mirrors.

Re: auto trans column question
Hey Tom, my 64 was original with a powerglide, the linkage was just missing when I bought it.
Tim, you shouldn't have any trouble selling the bench seats.

Rip
