Just found out that my passenger side king pin is worn/ probably both. So I was looking at king pin sets today. So whats the difference in the 2500-2800lbs set/ compared to the 2200 lbs set ?? My 1964 info plate says 2200 axle (think I have 10" front brakes ) I just don't know what the difference would be since all of the sets show the same size king pins. I'm sure that I should buy the type with metal bushings..Right ?

metalbushings are =Best! the axle ratings can have to do usually with 5-6-8 lug wheels /more weight & can also have to do with size king pins & heavier axles too. Remember sometimes replacing king pins can be done best by a frame shop / old auto type repair/ truck shop!! I have done some sets that after the metal bushings are pressed in - I did have to ream them to fit the king pins!! If doing yourself- hope you have a real oxy/accl. torch handy!! Twisted Evil

Who sells the metal kingpin sets? I thought I read Rare Parts on someone's thread, but I don't see them listed on their site unless they call them a different name.

I was told they should have no play side to side or that mine have too much? Is this legit?
