I used generic 3/4" d-shaped weatherstrip from pep boys. Went on easy and works like a charm. If I remember correctly 15' is more than enough.

Mine had cork on the lid part and the doghouse had next to nothing. I scraped the doghouse lip and added some 1/2" or 3/8" x ~1/8" closed cell foam to the bottom bit and it did wonders.
The D stuff sounds great, 3/4" sounds a little thick though. How did that work out? How wide is it?

I think it's 3/4 thick and wide. I have to persuade the lid shut by sitting on it but it gives me a 100% seal all the way around.
