Hey guys just recently purchased a100 window van and she is a beauty in my eyes! Been on your forum a couple of times and its a great place to get started everyone on here is so helpful! very impressed. My van is 1964 a100 with a /6 170ci running with a Carter single barrel BBS Carb i think. any way i just wanted to post some pictures of the new van. and when i start working on it getting it through its first MOT inspection here in the UK. got a couple of things to go through first like the brakes, handbrake(parking brake), and the accelerator linkages. Body work seems clean and tidy in its original paint apart from all the rubbers witch seem to have perished n the Californian sunlight. Hope you like it! and if anyone has a spare passengers side doghouse panel engine cover in the states or the UK to sell me that would help get this project on the road!
    Many thanks Gabriel.

Welcome to VV Gabriel. Your new van looks real nice. I'm sure the Dodge guys will chime in and get you sorted soon enough. Keep an eye open in the parts for sale section, and hopefully you can pick up that side panel.

Congrats Gabriel! Looks like a great foundation to start with. Seems like the Dodges are quite popular across the pond. Welcome aboard the best vintage van site around!

Hey guys thanks for the warm welcome. just a small update, nothing on the van as of yet other than i replaced the battery terminals as they were knackered and not tightening on the battery posts, Lights and wipers all working but no radio or heater as of yet the horn dosent work either so will have to investigate that! As for starting the dodge, you can tell she really wants to go but the previous owner said the Carb will need a rebuild something to do with accelerator pump! I moved in to my new unit today and have attached some pictures. i will move the van in as soon as the walls and floor are painted to brighten the place up a bit! then to continue with progress.Very Happy

hey guys long time since Ive been on vintage vans or posted anything, a good update to come, i have managed to remove the front windscreen i will get that glass re-cut and installed by a professional i know a guy great with glass and ensures me that it will be no troubles! i recently bought a Carter single barrel BBS carburetor, as soon as it arrived i got it on the engine and it started up with no problems its idles nicely, there is a slight tappet noise so i would imagine that they will need adjusting.

so this is where i need your guys help, i need to source a air cleaner box for my Carter BBS i don't mind if its after market, i just need dimensions so i will know what will fit under the doghouse as my carb did not come with anything any advice would be greatly revived. my carb is also missing the mounting hardware for a air cleaner.

Another problem that i have come across is my accelerator pedal witch needs repairing or changing over with something different i think i came across a thread about this i cant quite remember.

Had a little time to myself today and decided to fix my accelerator pedal. I only used a couple of stainless nuts and bolts and a off cut from a piano hinge some careful drilling and loctite and hey presto! i like the look of it tell me what you guys think?

I would add lock washers or star washers to the square nuts if I were doing the gas pedal that way.

Welcome from another UK newbie Gabriel.

I havent posted/been on here for a while as i've been too busy driving my A108 about running the engine in! I need to start a build thread soon as i'm starting on the interior of mine to make it more family/kid friendly and useable. There are a few of these appearing over here now I know of 2 more A100's within a 30 min drive of me!

Neatbeard, did you buy Dodgeman's Van? That chrome piece looks like the one that was on his van... scratch It had the Hippie psychedelic interior, right??? If it is, you got a beautiful van there!!! Very Happy cheers

I sure did buy Dodgeman's Van Vanny. It is indeed an awesome van. I'm redoing the interior though as I have 3 little uns and they need somewhere to sit on journeys and we want a big pull-out bed for camping. So the hippy interior is going and is being replaced with a Day of the Dead Mexican skull theme instead.
