Is it best to put the new floor in first or paneling on walls first?

Re: flooring or paneling first?
My thoughts are =floor ! so paneling can be cut to the floor areas & no gaps left.

Thanks, thought so, can bring paneling down flush to floor.
Found some used paneling-

Plan to use some used kitchen cabinets, where I can use the frame and sections for bed and storage. Example - if ones like this were cut to lenght 4', installed backs down, doors up. I would have lots of storage and a bed with ma tress on top. Debating if go bench seats with pop up table.

Re: flooring or paneling first?
It wouldn't cost you that much to build yourself. A good quality (pre-finished) 3/4" at Windsor Plywood is about $35. You might be good with 2 sheets 3 max depending how many sections you need. You'd also save time over trying to fit something meant for something else. Seems like you got yourself a winter shop so should be easy enough (and more fun). Brad nails, glue and clamps will go a long way!
And yes, floor first.

Re: flooring or paneling first?
floor 1st. leave a gap between the floor and the walls any air flow can help with moisture behind the walls. the gap can be hidd2014-12-12en with trim fabric /carpet/ or anything that would let it air to flow. traped air will keep moisture behind the walls

Re: flooring or paneling first?
Does anyone have plans for some bench seat boxes that also collapse? It would be nice to be able to fold/hinge boxes down when want cargo room.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Sub floor first, then walls, then finish floor. You don't want to have to remove the walls to change out your finish flooring later on.

Re: flooring or paneling first?
I agree with Tim and say do the floor last. If water leaks, or you need to replace the floor, you will want to be able to get it out without having to remove the walls first.

Re: flooring or paneling first?
I guess there are different schools of thought to answer your question and all have valid points. I have no issues (and prefer) doing the floor first. If you have water damage chances are you'll need to remove the sub floor anyway. And no need to remove the walls either way, set your blade to the proper depth, cut in the center and pry off. When doing your floor leave a small gap around the edge.
I think Tim's idea to do sunfloor then walls followed by finish floor would work very well as well.
Now the question is how are you gonna do your floor and walls...
Plan on using insulation (foam) sub-floor or just plywood?
How about your walls, insulation or not?
Depending of which way you decide to go there will be good advices to ask... Keep it coming!

Re: flooring or paneling first?
Flooring is out. Mostly surface rust. On passenger side behind rear wheel there seems to be an area of the floor that is raised, like it has lifted an 1/8". Last 2 pics are the rear passIenger area. I will take a wire brush and wheel to it after I let it dry out some more. Here are some pics. Let me know what you think and best thing to do next on floor.
