Hello all,
Totally new to the van scene but have been a admirer for years. I've got a love for most everything on wheels but mostly have an obsession with Model A's.
While down in Wildwood this past October at the Race of Gentlemen I got into a conversation with a new friend about his 67 Econoline and his desire to let her go as he had a lot on his plate and didn't see himself having the time to really do anything with the ole' girl.
I didn't really give it much thought then but having gone over hi brother's hoiuse many times, that's where the van has lived for the past year, she kinda struck a cord with me.
It also didn't hurt that 1967 was the year I was born also, so we kinda had a kindred spirit thing going on.
Long story kinda short, here she is, my 1967 Supervan with surprisingly little rust both on top and underneath.
She's got an automatic trans with the 240cid I6. All brakes, master and lines have been replaced and a fresh oil change tranny fluid change and carb rebuild.
I recently purchased a sweet rear seat from an old Astro van that folds flat and am throwing an old rubber mat from one of my pickups to line the floor.
An old Pioneer CD player with some speakers and an Ipod hookup are going in soon.
The rear corner quarters which seems to be the hardest hit by rot are being addressed too and a sanding and repaint in the spring are on the menu.
She's also got the quick release passenger front seat so you can carry longer objects which I thought was pretty cool.
The old steel wheels along with center caps also came with the little bugger!
Hope you like her as much as I do
