by dodge A-108 Fri Nov 28, 2014 2:51 pmon the dodge A series vans. if you have correctly adjusted the cross shaft, but you are still having "up down wiggle". on the bottom of the gear is a square plate with shims. you can sometimes remove the shims to eliminate the play. do this carefully, and with the pitman arm removed ,you don't want any bind at all.
