Anyone have a recommendation for wheels & tires for a '64 A100 used for towing an open car trailer? I'm still working on the brake issue but I need to move on.  BTW, I keep hearing inconsistent stories on the "Scarebird" front disc conversion. Can anyone explain WHY the inconsistencies?

As to Scarebird - what inconsistencies are you referring to?

Pedal pressure & effectiveness, mainly. Some guys swear By them, others AT them. I don't doubt how it all fits together, it seems logical, but I don't want to risk my truck, trailer & race car to a system that may be 50% effective.......... at least if one believes the posts

I sure don't mean to badmouth anyone's product---I'm interested in my safety too and am hoping someone either has a better solution or has an answer to that particular product's issues..

a better solution is to have the 11 inch drums on the front. properly set up , they just plain work

Would those be the regular 'ol drums found on some B-body cars? Are they a direct bolt-on?
