VV Site in general is Slow

I noticed starting late last week that the site, for me, has ben loading very very very slow. I go to other sites and have no issues the other sites and pages load in a second or less. I've not performed any changes or updates on my PC recently, the last was a month ago. Every time lately when I choose to visit the site it just clocks for severl minutes before it comes up and it acts the same for any forum section I open or thread. Obviously my question is, has something changeed or are there updates going on in the background on the site? It took about 6 or more minutes just to get to the point I could post this question. BTW, I am running a cable connection not dial up.

I had the same problem for a few days, but it is back to normal now.

Site seemed normal here a couple days ago but definitely really sloooooow here now. Other sites are acting normal.

Yep, almost a dead halt here too for a couple of days. What's happening ?

Same here---extremely slow. It's taking a minute or more to toggle between pages. Have checked this with other computers in my house---all the same. Hopefully admin can get this straightened out.

Yea same thing here its been takeing fore ever to get things posted seems to gotten better past day or so but its still slow..I have checked on our other coumputers also..Same thing...

At least at this moment the site appears to be working as it has in the past, pages and threads are again loading in short order at the moment. There may be something being worked on or tinkered with on the site in the background. Hopefully the return to normal speed continues. Scott...

I had to do a system restore to earlier day -works good now!!

Same here, so it wasn't your puters....seems back to normal, must have been the server.....

Its been day to day, one day fast, next day slow all week of 10/13-10/14....

Real slow getting on this site again.

I had the same problem and it turned out to be a web search engine that goes through France before I can get on this site. Not sure why I'm routed that way, but they were the problem for me. It's seems to be fixed for me now. But after a little digging around on some forums, I found that a lot of people were having the same problems with other web sites as well. Also found that it seems to affect your search, depending on what operating system they were using on their computers as well. Mine had something to do with illiweb.
